Hello everyone,

I will soon be installing a pretty well built 1275 A+ turbo motor into my Authi. My only worries are that my brakes and tires will not be adequate for stopping/starting. I currently have 7.5" discs up front with a booster and standard drums in the rear all running on 10" steel rosestyle wheels with A008's. I will be removing my booster to fit the turbo over there but I dont think that will matter much. I would really like to retain the 10" wheels but i'm not sure if the small brakes will be good enough to properly stop the car. I'm also worried that I dont have enough tire to really put the power to the ground. I was planning on going to the alloy 4 pot Mini Sport calipers but i understand that KAD makes a killer 6 pot caliper that will fit under a 10" wheel. Ididnt really have any plans to change the wheels/tires but I also heard that the rosestyle wheels are very soft steel and tend to crack.

Can anyone help me out with these issues? It would be greatly appreciated.

There are a lot of quick mini's on here running on 10's with 'S' brakes.

10" wheels are the nicest looking and to drive in my opinion.

I'd keep them unless you do find a specific problem.
Sure, the 4 or 6 pot calipers are going to be better, but why fit what you may not need.

You'll find 1000's of posts on different forums on this subject, basically it down to personal preference.
