What sort of engine steady do you have? Crank Case side? 1/4 Mile 14.3secs 96Mph Terminal 10psi of boost.

Check your floors for cracks around the subframe mounts. Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph

have you checked the exhaust for clearance as it passes the frame into the tunnel? I'm not running a turbo at the moment but I recall the last one I worked on was tight |

Just to confirm my thinking, am I right in saying that under braking the engine actually shifts forwards and shifts back on acceleration?? This being the case the noise can't be the plenum fouling the bulkhead?? |

my mates mini had a similar thing, it was the bulkhead bracket for the std engine steady (the one that sandwiched the steady with the master cylinder base plate

I had a very similar thing and checked all my subframe mountings and stabilisers only to eventually find it was one of the U bolts that holds the rack in place had cracked right through. Woth a look. You have my sympathy though there is nothing worse than a mysterious squeak! |
