This is a question to jimster or any one else who would know.

Ive visited your site, lyons-it.co.uk, and i see you have carbon doors.

My doors have arrived but i dunno how to stop water entering the car. do the weatherseals still work with these doors. I have perspex windows comming soon aswell. Not sure how to make them water tight either. Any ideas?

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

Would of thought (looking at a pair of these doors and seeing jims in the flesh) that they would be hard to make water tight as the frame isnt all that ridge to pull up to the seal.

Might be wrong. Im going to be using some form of glass/carbon fibre doors but mines never going to see the rain really so its not a problem.

can not get htem water tight , like iain says don`t go out in the rain , but if you do the front footwell will fill up.

Everyone knows that instructions only have to be read if the thing doesn't work....

Is there deffo no possible way then?

I mean i spose i could pile dive the perspex in and cork the sides to make it water tight there, but the doors im not sure.

the perplex is not realy the problem as in can be sealed , its the doors , nothing is pulling them in at top or bottom , they just bow slightly .

you could drill the door frames and fit carbon fibre or fibre glass door skins, should shed some weight, thats what i might do eventually.
