What's your symptoms? What makes you think they're fooked?

Loud whining is a usual indication

nope... jsut on the motorway sounded it slowed down and soudned abit whiney

could be a cv, could be the cranks snapped, need a bit more info

does it crunch if you push the car with the clutch in?

Hmmm, my stocko 1100 box is whiney - standard helical and a 3.765 diff... cruising along and it kinda rings in your ears... ah, she'll be right.

If it broke at high speed, id pull out the sump plug and change the oil, see how many chunks of metal on the sump plug magnet... if its broken a diff there will be shrapnel everywhere, same for the rest I guess. broken cranks make a massive knocking noise I heard, depends where they let go I guess.

Can you select gears if your sitting still?
If you roll it with clutch in whats it do?
