Anyone got any good advice for fitting A Panels? The welding doesnt bother me but ive never done the folding over bit before and i dont wanna dent/wreck them

in that cas it doesnt matter all that much, just concentrate on getting the door gap right

door gap as above. Sounds obvious but keep opening the door.

1/4 Mile 14.3secs 96Mph Terminal 10psi of boost.

With regards to the folding over, I have done one with some basic tools, and one with the correct tool. The correct tool was so much easier, with much less cursing, and folded it over much tighter

thanks for the info, may look into the tool if it dont cost a fortune. Getting there, just a panels and mk1 light plates then ready to prep

nowts cheap, suppose i could buy one, use it then flog it on ebay as 'Brand New' and get £100 for it lol

Yes use a door skinning tool to fold the a panell also before you fully crimp the A panell round use a seallant/adhesive in between. This not only adds strength but stops water getting in because this is the very reason your A panells rot as they were not sealled from factory. Most importantly put a small weld on the very top of the A panell at its thinnest point. This should be at the top corner that is nearest the door. This is very important because without this weld your paint will crack where the A panell meats the car body at the top. All top mini body shops will tell you the same.
