Hi guys, i remember seeing somewhere a converter to run an A plus distributor in a pre A plus block i think, or is it the other way round? Cant seem to find anything anywhere on it or am i dreaming lol? Any help appreiciated,

you can mod a dizzies to fit a+, but im not sure about vica versa

Its not difficult, you just need to change the drive dog(redrill for the rollpin at 90 degrees) and mill out the A series clamp to 40mm to hold the A+ dizzy.I also drilled the end of the shaft and tapped it to take a small extension to locate it at the lower end, as the A+ shaft is shorter.Quite important, even though it will run(for a while) without it.

I should also have mentioned that this rotation of 90 degrees might mean that the vacuum advance can may foul if you have a T piece adaptor for oilpressure guage and /or the turbo oil feed.My solution was to tap the top of the big banjo bolt holding the main external oil feed pipe 1/8 NPT and put everything on to that.

that will supply you with unfiltered oil instead of filtered though....
