Or not?

Thermostat works, got 6 *3mm holes drilled in it.. no air in system.. turn heater on to let off some extra heat. Within 1/4mile the engine is in the red, and stays there the whole time. When i turn the car off the lecy fan stays on for another 20 or so seconds and then turns off. The adjustable thermostat for the fan is sitting below "normal". I can take the rad cap off and touch the water. i can touch all the hoses and even the head. Note: i dont have a mechanical fan. Just a Pacet 11" Clovafan or something which puts out 1250CFM.

I need mroe ideas.. as this and the oil thing is preventing me from MOTing it.

Can you see water being circulated when you take the cap off the rad?

if yes, grab the dizzy and advance it to see if that helps. If it does, then you need to start looking at stuff like the vacuum advance unit, or just the general set-up of you motor...

Heavilly retarded ignition cooks turbo engines in minutes - as Jimster and MiniDave will testify...
