My manifold nuts keep coming loose. I am using the brass nuts type with the 3 centre ones on the the thick washers and the 2 ends on thin/small washers. Are there supposed to be spring washers on them aswell? The problem with the brass type is that they are so soft I'm worried each time I tighten them up that I'll mash up the threads which I have done a number of times. Any tips on this or are there better nuts I can buy?

Cheers
Rich

Bin the brass and use steel ones. I don't use a spring washer, just get them tight. Never had one rust up.

Mini Spares sell a very nice 12 point nut and stainless steel stud I use them on all the racers there ubber good a little copper slip when you put them on then when you go to take them off one turn with a spanner to crack them and then back them out with your finger every time.

Paul.

I find the easiest way is to super glue the bolt to the end of one of my fingers.
