can i ask why you want to change it from a remote to a rod. IMO the remote changes are better aswell as the tunnel acting as an engine staberliser

I cannot disagree more. Remote sucks. Too many linkages to wear in comparison. The engine brace function can be fixed other ways.

couse my remoterod gearbox is worn out it sound realy bad and its hard to put into first gear... i now have a nice condition rod gearbox.. and what iwe heard u cant move the gearshift assembly from my remote rod gearbox over to the other gearbox with the rod type.. so thats why iam gonna change..

other wise it would have been much more easy just to change the remoterod gearshift "things" to new good gearbox. but that i think is not posseible..

I'm with Vegard, rod change is far better, far less parts in the linkage to make it slack and all the parts are more readily available.

The only thing I would say is, surely you could make your own brackets up ???

You will obviously need to throw away your "remote" aluminium extension housing and find a rod change selector but the rod change ones are much smaller and just "hang" from the tunnel on two rubber bobbins (like the exhaust bobbins but taller).

Schrödinger's cat - so which one am I ???
