Well, i've just about recovered now and i didn't do anything most of the weekend! Was great to finally put some faces to the names and cars and gave me the final piece of inspiration to finish my K motor off.

I think the guy on the mik may have had a thing for stu mead, as like you say he nearly wet him self every time he came around lol. Best 1/4 mile 13.2 seconds @116 mph

i know for a fact that colin didn't this year, last year he did, but his bottle was firmly in the boot of the tow car. He managed to shave .4 of a second of by taking the towbar and the bumpers of!!! more in the head than anything else! he is edging 60 so not bad for an old racer!!!! "Cars are a lifetime of pain" |

Well, that's nice. I bet all the folks who've also been in class B in previous years and not running nitrous are overjoyed that he wasn't running it this year.

After reading the forum for along time but never registering I thought I would sign up to confirm a few details. I am mates with and share a workshop with Rob Gavin, and to confirm the comments that he and Tom Fenton made (cheers for the comments guys), I wasn't and never have run NOS. The engine in the car is recently built and to the following spec :-
14.914 sec 1/4 mile @ 91.38mph, NA 1293cc on 1.1/2" SU's (all steel and glass shell) |

i know i have said that i dont think the DON is truly keeping to the road legal aspect of group D and that it is Tom's and Carls decision what group to go in, but i would like to make it clear that i'm not a grass and if i was going to make a complaint to the officials (really not likly as the weekend is a bit of fun), i would have said it to Tom/Carl in person first.

The silly think is that there was controversy last year regarding DONald, the sensible thing would have been for the BMC to clarify the very vague (and easy to manipulate rules) to avoid any controversy this year but they didn't.
