Ok im thinking of putting an 110 crank in a 998 with =120 pistons from minisport australia, what cc would that give me?

The 998 pistons have a higher compression height than the 1100.

Yep, using 1098 pistons would be ok. The only difference between a 998 and a 1098 is the pistons and crank. Well, they had different heads from the factory but they are interchangeable

Yes, but you can only get them up to +0.060".

My dad has an 1100 engine from a moris minor, would that have the same crank from the 1100 mini engines? |

No, the in-line cranks have a different end for flywheel mounting.

ah right. I remember a fella telling me that you could get a 998 out to 1215cc? I cant remeber exactly what it was but it used a 1100 crank and hillman imp (?) pistons.......cant remember if they were the right pistons, can any body correct me? Edited by bertieboo on 16th Jul, 2008. |

Yup, a 1098 with Imp +0.040" pistons gives you 1251. I think Vizard talks about it in the "Big Motors" section of his book On 12th Nov, 2009 Paul S said:
