Usually, the '1' lead is the one closest to the vacuum advance unit.

GDC150 is the flat cap for the MK1 dizzy. Rotor GRA2130; also works with GRA2114 rotor. I am using this because I have the Metro turbo front rad. MK2 dizzy is a shade longer, so can't be used with a front rad on a round nosed Mini. Bimmer Twinky headed and turboed A-Series:

i drilled 2 holes through the cap, and then some through the dizzy as there were some aluminium areas doing nothing, tapped it on and fixed with 2 screws a la metro style

The side cap in question is the old Maestro O series one you need to change the rotor arm as well. You will also need to gently cut off the original mounting lugs and file the top with a small slot that will engage the dizzy clips, we used all this type of system on my Miglia in 1996 with a front mounted rad.Saves 1.5" dependant on engine position. |
