Its not that bad mate for the price. 256 aint much ram for the price considering you can buy a new toshiba with gig ram for £330. Strangely enough IBM's seem to keep their price, the X models are nice and small but the cd drive is external which is a pain if you want to burn cds when out and about Edited by webba on 17th Jul, 2008. |

Check that it has got an RS232 port (serial), if you are going to use it for megajolt.

indeed, usb covertors can be a right royal pain in the ring hole. Im 99% sure it wont have one. Then again neither has any laptop made in the past 3 years or so! Developers of systems like the megajolt need to catch up, COM ports (rs232) have been extinct for near 5 year now on most systems Edited by webba on 17th Jul, 2008. |

without being too techy it is a shame, despite being slow as hell my todays standards (0.1MBs) it was hardware controlled, meaning very little ca n go wrong, unlike usb which uses software.

A lot of the DELLs have serial ports, my work one definitely does but the security clamp down on it is so tight that I use it as little more than a glorified paper weight. Isambard Kingdom Brunel said:
