Knowing that a TM member or two has gearbox issues - could this be the (expensive) answer?

7 grand? hows about no.

JKD`s involute dog box is the ultimate.
or swift tunes dog box and a lsd of some kind.

i belive the don has a jkd box

only time ive ever seen a jkd box blow up was then the bottom x-fer gear wasent torque up properly.

"no other box on the market will be able to take the abuse and power that this box will take"

hes not seen the miglias or some of the turbo`s on here then.

Yeh, how many Clubman sets would you need to break, including the rebuild costs to total 7K!!!

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

The JKD 6speed still breaks.

If any one remembers the Plant Brothers for their rallying minis in the WRC, they bought a broken one for around 1.5k, and were quoted by Quaife 2k to fix it.

Why would anybody be advertising this sort of product on a classic MK1 forum and not on the likes of Turbo Minis? Thats where im confused

I think it is Rich but i would expect the box would be built by his boss, Neil Booth.
I think I am right in saying Neil used to build a lot of Mini boxes before moving onto other stuff but is now trying to get back into them. His other company makes the competition driveshafts for MS.

stowmaket suffolk

i think i would rather just rebuild evry 2 years i think.

as it would still need rebuilding every so often and parts would be bloody expensive to.

if mats 300 bhp motor seems to hold at the moment then a 200 bhp should be good for a quaife gear set set up. or even the clubman set.

use decent ctv oil, replace layshaft bearings every year or 2 if about 150 bhp then a sc box should last well enough.

i havnt had to touch mine your about 3 years now and still going strong with 150 bhp.

always looking for them bigger bunches of bannanas
