Are cordless hammer drills any good?

I've got a cordless drill/driver and a hammer drill , but they're both knackered and I was wondering whether to splash out on just one tool to replace both.

If I did get one is it worth the extra money for an 18v one over 14.4v?

Cheers

Neil

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

You want to have a go with the new Dewalt one we've got. Superb!!! Its about ?200ish quid but we got it on special for ?150.

Amazing bit of kit, used it for drilling holes straight through walls from inside to out and it just keeps going.

We've had all sorts as my dad uses them all the time but now he just uses this. Its 14.4v.

He had a cordless drill/screwdriver and a hammer drill but both hardly get used.

Its the one with the metal keyless chuck. The plastic chucks arent very good at all as they get chewed up but this metal one seems brilliant. had it about 6 months now.

I've been ages trying to work out what Dave was on about.

I get it now - bloody hell I'm being thick today!
