13.6 @ 116 mph with a 2.6 sec 60 foot.

how does this 60 foot time compare with your best times?

cheers MW

Best 1/4 mile 13.2 seconds @116 mph

You should easilly be doing 2.4 60ft times Matt; or consistent 2.3s. I am at least - and our minis must weigh something like the same.

stowmaket suffolk

mat we need to change that diff i think to a 3.1 if you want to see your times come down on 60 ft.

my pathectic 60 ft at santa was 3secs

with a poor 16 sec run but did manage 95 mph so at least something went right on the speed front just need to sort clutch out as it kept slipping if i over cooked the start

always looking for them bigger bunches of bannanas

The TT (on slicks obviously) did 13.574 @ 101.57 with a 2.264 60ft.

My 60ft time were very in consistent all day, mainly because I was taking the chance to try different techniques. In the end the technique that worked best was the one I have been using for ages. Funny that.

Yes Robert that was a good idea about copy and paste.

Nice 60 feet time chaps, looks like I'm around 2 tenths down on the average.

Matt - I doubt very much that a 2.9 is making much of a difference. If you have more torque than traction in 1st (which you do I assume?) then it really is going to be down to finding your optimum launch technique.

matt id disagree with dave ,,

if your losing .say .2 of a second over my 60 ft of 2.4s , id expect that to be more like a .3 to .4 second loss in the whole run ,

you lose the captapult effect ,and so the whole of the run loses impetus .

my bike runs a 120 to 125 terminal ,but only a 11.9 quarter , for that terminal it should be running low 11 high 10,s ,the launch is v poor so it loses out all the way up the track.

for your terminal speeds id expect a mid to high 12 . *Yes*

16 sec is about average for a hot hatch, so anything about this sort of time or lower is very good for an A series engine.

Lambo's and other super cars do around the 12 sec mark, cost around £200,000 and would get a shock buy the front runners in D class!

I think my best 60ft was in the region of 2.4secs. But struggling with power off the strip was not a problem

Jeez Shed. 200 K for something that only does 12 secs.

Just reinforces my belief that super cars are only for knobby poseurs and wannabe enthusiasts.

Indeed,

my boss was going on about having taken his RS4 to the pod and running a 13.8 or somthing... apart from the fact he is slightly delusional and it was probably an article in a mag....

I pointed out that my mini shouldn't be far off that time, and told him some of the times that are being run PMSL

Turboshed puts it into pespective. If my Clio ran a sub 16 second quarter I would be happy. If my mini ends up scaring a few "quick" cars I will be happer still!
