Hi guys,

hope you all are well, I could do with your advice please.

The time has come for me to get rid of my MK1. The only problem is, im not too sure how much it's worth.

It's a 1963 Austin Mini which had a partial rebuild about 3 years ago. It was then used not very often and stored in a garage for about 2 years. For the past year it's been stored on a drive with a car cover.

I haven't had chance to look at it as yet but will report back when I do.

When it was rebuilt it had the following:

Full bare metal spray job in Tartan Red. (exc. roof)
Rebuilt rear subframe with new Spax adjustable dampers, hi-lows and super minifins
Rebuilt cooper S discs on the front
Gaz coilovers
New Rover stainless bumpers and overriders
Austin Cooper S Grille
6 point cage, with diagonal
Very good original interior.
Group 2 arches
10x6 force splitrims with A032r's
Stage 1 kit with playmini 2' stainless backbox

The engine is an A+ 998cc, that last time I drove it, really could do with a tune up.

The body was very solid when I stopped using it, but i do need to check again.

Unfortunatly, the car has lost some of its original features, the floorpans are flat steel with strengthening bars welded to the underside.

The sills are 9' aftermarket jobbies and obviously the engine is not correct.

So, baring in mind the above, and the fact the car hasn't really been used in 3 years and would undoubtidly need a bit of TLC, what would you value it at?

Here are some pics before it stopped being used.

Cheers guys *tongue*

Mate will be interested around the £2K mark. If you are, I'll pass you on his details. He wants it for his bird.

I'd say your best bet was looking to export it for around the £3K mark.

Bugger off, I'm getting there.

I bet my first wank came quicker than your first mini turbo

These new modern turbos with their quick spool up time, would make the competition harder.
