Well I am coming to the end of my latest project and am ready to begin the next one. I already have the donnar car an accident damaged 1275cc Mayfair made up to look like a cooper.

I am holding back from starting because I have questions about all the directions I wish to take.

1. On the BMW head conversions what is the area covered by the inlet and exhaust valves, and what is the comparrison in valve area to the Kad head?

2. I have a Daytona 600 for breaking due to a huge accident I had last year (got rear ended by a Bloke who was uninsured) I was thinking of turbo charging it but I have only heard of 600cc bike engines used in grass track racing

3. I have several more metro turbo short motors which I could play around with but having been there and having a platform for fitting one I really dont see the challenge in going their again.

And I dont think confused.com will help

always fancied doing a twin engined VAG 1.8 20vt mini. You can easily see 400 bhp per engine, space frame with carbon body. Fun or mad? ......*wink*

skyline GTR..

took these fotoes a while back when i was considering the next project after the mini was "complete" .. till i realised itll never be complete *happy*

i nthis foto the engine is alligned such that the front diff(in the sump, like a cozzy) is aligned wit hthe centre of the front wheel. front most piont of the engine is tucked in neater than the manifold on the sunny. itll fit in a clubby front, with 4wd!

engine + box may not fit in a normal mini tho :( .. miby need a van!

turbo 16v k-series 11.9@118.9 :)

the gtir convertion has been done already too. you would get better results from a hayabusa conversion and the mini would not look shite afterwards

no its an RB26DETT (well they both are) .. top one was just before i stuck it in a skyline, bottom one was just after i pulled it out another. these engiens were never fitted to 200sx's from the factory, and to the best of my knowlege there is only a handfull(if that) in the uk with this lump swapped in.

first pic shows it next to a gti-r(SR20DET engine as standard) for a size reference :)

These new modern turbos with their quick spool up time, would make the competition harder.

how about a rear engined A series - plenty of other options out there but not that many with an A these days

On the four wheel drive theme I think BMC produced 3 4wd set-ups for the a-series, anyone know where these are hiding these days I would love a look.

Had few ideas along this line in the past but its the bell housing design and crown wheel pattern that im not sure about.

Have a look at GTMs or any other kit car with a rear mounted A series. It is very easy to do. You can still buy the GTM linkage new if you look in the right places.

Here is what they look like. The bracket mounts onto the front of the gearbox, and the gear knob end is rubber mounted. The only mod on the mini selector is the bottom plate need turning around, so that the you can "gate" the reverse.

Couldnt you just run the selector box backwards haha

All the gears will be upside down but i dont see why it wouldnt work!! *Nerd*

its not so much that but the fack that to have 5 gears forward you obviously need to have the engine and box mounted the same way as it is in the front so the selector on the box is now facing the back of the car and the linkage needs to loop under the box to connect to it.

ive been thinking about it because im looking into building a little offroad buggy made from two mini front subframes joined together on a custom chassis. with a little 998T engine in the rear.

lots of parts to make it better and better if i wanted to and nice and easy to do.

Its been a while and I have done a lot of thinking. I have decided to fit a 600cc bike engine in the front of my next project and turbo it.

I have a clear idea of what I want to do I just hope it's not too tall. I intend the car to look exactly like my finished project 16" wheels sat under a fortech super wide arch kit. I intend to keep the front and rear sub frame main bodies and mess around with the attaching parts.

No time frame completion.
