Rigth i have spent the last couple of days on turbo minis looking for answers to a few questions. I have found a lot very usefull especially roberts thread. Just looking for a few up to date answers really. any help would be great......oh and i have used the search button......

a) What rebuild kit is safe to use. it is a saab 95 turbo gt17. i have found this but is this the one matty had problems with?

b) people have mentioned external wastegates, has any one got pictures of there's?

c) I'm planning to use and adaptor plate but its a rectangle to a hole, i take it i just grind it to allow flow?

d) are the water outlets/inlets and oil inlet the same for a t25 as they are for the gt series? thead size etc?


finally

e) is it hard to rebuild and does anyone have a complete guide?

e) when you buy the rebuild kit it comes with a guide. No, it's not hard to do.

no there not hard to rebuild (i do turbo re-con at work...well to the end of this week)
you just need to check things well...
helps if you have access to people with a shot blaster to clean housings and turbine blades but how ever watch out for the shaft, dont blast that, obviously
