Right then lads.
Got a question for you all.
MY car is nearly there now just a bit of wirring and sorting out. My question is i have a oil temp gauge. Now i'm guessing a sensor is required. I have an oil pressure gauge which i have an oil line behind the dash for and an oil pressure switch for the wirring of the fuel pump. So here's my question where have you boys taken put the oil temp sensor?
Any pics and info would be great!*smiley*

Ok, I'm guessing that requires the engine and gearbox to be removed? *crying*

Go on e bay and buy a oil filter sandwhich plate. It goes between ur oil filter and housing. Ther absolute superb. They have 4 take off holes. I have my oil temp, pressure sensors in it as well as the turbo oil feed. Its 1 of the best items ive bought. Makes the job look like it grew there.

Have you found one that works on the Mini oil filter housing? Link please :)

My mate has one on his 1380, seems to work ok. Not sure where it came from though.
A lot easier than tapping the sump like i did, though as the engine was being rebuilt it didn't matter.

It comes from an e bay shop called auto guages. The item number is 360072473190. You need the 3/4 UNF fitting. It needs no mods at all to fit and the sensors of mine screwed right in. Its a fantasticly made item as well. I was very impressed with it and no leaks at all.

If so I still am fucked as my temp sensor is too big for that.

Just digging out an old thread, is this the same as the item described above (as the item number is no longer valid) from "autodials" rather than "auto gauges".

And is this a recomended option for oil pressure, temp, and turbo oil feed?

use it for temp and pressure, but don't use it for the oil feed as you will hae unfiltered oil going to the turbo.
