Plenum Chamber - ANOTHER ONE see 7th post

Here we have for sale a Plenum chamber.

This will often be known as a pendulum (chamber), pelinium (chamber) to name but two, basically any word that has a "P" and an "L" in it.

This is a piece of motoring history.

Apparently, long before the days of fuel injection and engine management, it used to be used in conjunction with something once known as an "SU carburettor" to provide some random fuel/air mix to a turbocharged "A" Series engine.

I also believe it can be modified to accept such Chav features as "Dump valves" (although MP3 versions of dump valves can be had on eBay for a lot less) but this one is antique standard.

This piece of motoring history can be yours for £20 plus postage.

If anyone thinks that's too much, please tell me and I'll paint it red and put it on eBay.....

Or make me a sensible offer.




Seriously, came in a box of various turbo bits I won on eBay (bidding too much, too late on a Sunday evening a while ago) so looking to get rid of the bits I don't want.
Needs a bit of a clean up but all bolts are free, didn't split it though as I don't have a new gasket that goes between the two halves.

But I must apologise to those who PM'd me with offers as I really worded this "advert" badly.

I should have checked what the postage costs were likely to be first before saying "£20 plus postage" or "... a sensible offer".

As a result of my bad wording, I've sold it to the first person who (with no knowledge of the offers) said yes to £20 plus postage without knowing what postage would be, even though one of the lower offers came in first.

Not sure if I've done the right thing, but it's done now.....

Just for the record (now that yours has sold)

i too have one for sale. it is as i got it and has a dump valve take off and dump vale fitted to it.

it goes to the first who sends me £40. this will include postage.
