Dont know if any one else has been a jammy sod like me but for the second time (N/A and turbo) ive had my car on the rollers with no setting up of fuel or ignition needed. The carb needle is the same one i was using before the turbo conversion!!! Just borrowed a mates gas tester and timing gun, thought it felt smooth before the rollers but was expecting some serious needle work.

Anyone else had this stroke of luck or on the other hand been so far out you wondered how it ran???

I'd say then that a complete set up hasn't been done...

Were different timings tried, was the curve checked and then matched to the engine?!

i have it befofe on the timing before , were ray had acvanced it but ended up going back to were i sat at .

i will do the same i think.

by the way alex ray is the master when it comes r &r turbo's eg miniwilliams, and is always knows when things are spot from the krypton and knows when enough fuel and ignition is requiered.

also tone hasnt finished yet as intercoolers will be going on and more boost to come . so thats why ray hasnt done much just a check over to make sure he can give it a good thrash with going to melt down region.

Ray certainly is the man, he may not have the most advanced,modern equipment but he knows it very well. The operators of other rolling roads that miniwilliams has been on have always remarked on how well his car is set up, bloddy good job too

Well just to confirm in case it was mist, Ray is the bollox!

If the settings were reading right and making good drivable power then why would ray want to change things, not being funny, but this guy has been doing cars for many , many years, trust me if the timing wasn't right he would have played around with it

Jim is still using a stock BDD needle in his, running 1bar of boost... Not a clue why!
