Can you change a transverse 'A' engine all variations to inline or visa versa. I sem to recall a twinni pickup used inline Morris Ital blocks and tranversed them

I think you can use the block but not the crank.

Obviously crank is a total nono. I sold a Marina engine to a guy, and he fitted it in a Mini after much fettling with the front main cap. If you're fitting steel caps and line boring this is easy.

The oil pickup will also need some modification, not sure what.

Not worth it really as the proper blocks are dirt cheap.

Its just that I have a fully sorted block that Im concidering to turn from transverse to inline

i have heard of somone doing somthing abit like this a 4wd mini not sure if it ever was finished though, used a suzuki engine or somthing. but... if somone does create a subframe for a front engine A series rwd that would be awsome!
