Do keep up Robert, that has been gone for ages LOL!

The extra rear silencer is the "track day" spec exhaust for noise testing purposes, still on from Cadwell the other day, I just haven't removed it yet.

that rear suspension setup is very Imp like, (except it has no drive shafts) similar geometry though, more camber (in relation to the body) with roll.

That looks top work tom.
Have you tried it with that rear diffuser yet?
It should give you that much more stability at higher speeds.

Surely it depends on where the two bushes are on each wishbone relative to a simple horizontal line straight across the body (ie, like standard Mini trailing arms, straight and horizontal).

Move the inner bush backwards or downwards relative to the outer one (like most modern cars which have trailing rear wishbone suspension do) and you get increasing (negative) camber with roll.

The Imp was a very early example of this.

Both the rosejoints are mounted to the heelboard, so it is a pure trailing arm, no camber change.

The Imp trailing arm bushes are at an angle to the centreline left to right (as per your photo), but probably not vertically (from memory) but that left to right bit of the design design certainly provides negative camber with roll.

Mind you, it's a few years since I drove my Imps around Mayland !!!

As Tom says though, if the rose joints on DON are parallel on the healboard, no roll induced camber changes.

Ah, did you have imps around then?

My dad had lots of imps about the same time, we lived in Althorne at the time.

Go on then, now you've dug out the old diffuser. Are they going to be made available for sale again to the general public.

Because that would work so well on my motor. and save me the job of making one.
