Running in my Twinky engine and the water temperature fluctuates between 80-90 degC. Got an 82 thermostat in with a small hole drilled in it to get the water to flow out of the head and into the thermostat housing.

if you are using that one hole as the bypass i would drill a few more. |

Yes that's all I'm using as a bypass. I had a bigger hole in the last one I had in and it ran at 70 deg when moving and 85 deg when still. I thought from that I was getting too much water bypassing the thermostat as it never got up to temp when moving???? |

Its got 1 inlet 2 outlets and basically a shuttle valve. When it cold it goes one way when its hot it goes the other!
