I,m accumulating the parts for a new motor based on 1360cc and on a tightish budget.Head and cam seem to be the most important and the head is the expensive bit.I,m pretty well set on the Avonbar Phase 2 cam,as I want some low down power,as I,m using the standard Metro turbo T3 and manifolds.Question, is it more effective to get a head or use the Avonbar cam and do my own head.I have a fair bit of experience with N/A A series heads and all the necessary kit.I,m aiming for a reliable motor, with, say 120bhp ish. Am I being realistic ?.Need all your experiences please . |

Many thanks -I am already using an intercooler, even if the installation is not ideal.I take it that exhaust manifold and elbow mods amount to cleaning up and re-shaping/enlarging where appropriate ?.I guess knowing where is appropriate is the key. |
