hi, my t3 is starting to blow oil a little and am interested in swapping it for something less laggy.

the cars a 1293, 8:1 comp, turbo cam, intercooled, mapped alpha ignition. group a head gasket.

going to run about 10psi generally with upto 15psi eventually

the cars generally for road but will see quite a few track days

general max rpm is 6500

looking at compressor maps the GT1548 - 466755 - 3 on http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarre...48_466755_3.htm seems to be a good choice for combination of far enough from surge line and still within a good efficiency area higher up for both p/r 1.8 and 2.

is this exactly the same turbo as on here http://www.atpturbo.com/Merchant2/merchant...gory_Code=GTNBB

any thoughts would be much appreciated

Rob

Thats the one I am using and it makes a great road car, I bought mine from ATP as well.. Lag is not really a problem but I am running a higher CR (8.5)

I'm running 10-12 psi and its fine, right on the efficiency island but wonder weather it will run out of steam at 15psi, maybe for high boosts a GT17 would suit better?
