I bought a rolling shell a couple of weeks ago.

The primer is not perfect... it needs cutting back and reapplying.. and the driver side sill doesnt look very good at all...

However, I shall get this sorted soon.

I bought a Jack Knight Gearbox the other day, I just need at least an Xpin and some SC drop gears.

And I also have a 1380 Avonbar engine, with ARP bolts, forged pistons etc. Not actually sure of the cam though at the moment.

Am tempted to upgrade to Omega Pistons and some deeper dishes *tongue*

I also have a MED Stage 3 head and 1.5:1 Full Rollers

The head has actually just gone, and been replaced by a turbo job.

A TD02 Garrett Turbo

I have a Metro Turbo carb and plenum chamber - no pics... but I am sure you all know what they look like :)

I need to get a FORGE Front Mount intercooler - I have a FMIC Nitrous Spray Bar which I will use with it.

The PLAN, is to get the engine and head reconditioned, drilled to 11 stud, 4 strap, possibly dry decked and am currently tempted by MEDs FIS special 18cc pistons - although I need to check into them more and my bank account :/
Drop the compression down veryyy low.
An oil cooler obviously.

I need to get drop gears and at least a 4 cross pin, and a quick shifter.

Steering wise, a quick rack, anti roll bars, rose jointed tie bars, camber brackets, 10 x 9s

KAD radius arms and a MiniSpares rear beam (turned up today *tongue* )

My lovely wheels :)

I have GAZ adjustable coilovers on order... in fact they turned up today, but not the offset jobs like I asked for :( so they have been returned!

The car will need at least a 6 point roll cage... would like more if possible... but would like to still use the sun roof :/ !! along with a pair of race seats and harnesses.

Tempted by the DD2 DigiDash.
Plus I need all of the other stuff that makes a car go.

I have a carbon front end from Smudger

I shall also be getting a carbon boot and bootfloor and MAYBE a roof too.

As for the colour... I have NO IDEA!! Suggestions would be great! Just not pink... :) Am currently thinking of Sassy Grass Green off a 70s Plymouth Barracuda :)

Any help would be greatly appreciated as this will be a first for me... !!

Unfortunately, I only get one day off work a week! So work on this will be depressingly slow, coupled with the fact that my car knowledge is next to zero ( sort of) oh and along with the fact that the current storage place has no electricity for tools!! Oh, plus I am just about to buy another house, so am trying to save ( a bit) and look for a house and eventually move in!

These new modern turbos with their quick spool up time, would make the competition harder.

Those are 10 x 9 Mambas... and I have 2 10 x 8 Starmags? I think. Picked up all 6 wheels and 4 tyres for £90 off eBay!!!

I need to call up Dunlop and get special 10 x 8 Racing Slicks and use them!

It will be road legal if I can get suitable tyres... otherwise the Dunlop ones I think are slick only :(

I am hoping to make it as road legal as possible.... to use these wheels I am (unfortunately) going to have to use the Fortec Wide Body kit... I will get them to make up the front arches in carbon fibre though. Not the biggest fan of bodykits. If I can't use these wheels, I will save them for the strip and track and use 10 x 7s or 10 x 8s and use them to make it road legal.

oop yes. I have a AvonBar Phase 2 cam... need to get followers and suitable timing gear along with other lovliness :)

Other things in the pipe line:
Carbon doors, Polycarb windows, I already have a 11lb nitrous bottle and intercooler spray bar, so will be looking at getting a nitrous injection. I also just took receipt of a V.4 MegaJolt with Hard Rev Limiter and 2 colour shift light :)

Am sure I am forgetting something....

I am afraid this will be a slow burner... I am not in a (huge) rush so hopefully a year :/

Looks good. The only thing I'd say is don't go toooooo low on the CR, anything below 8 is pointless.

personally I'd stick with one size of wheel, the smaller ones will look silly under the big arches. And you don't seem to keen on the fortec kit anyway.

Oh. I wasn't thinking of below 8 :)

I really would like to run those 10 x 9s on the track and on the road.. but to be honest I doubt I can get my hands on road legal tyres for those wheels!
I don't think the 10 x 9s will fit under the wide Miglia arches, which is what I was hoping for originally when I wanted 10 x 7s or 8s.

These turned up today :)

Alloy hubs. Yum Yum.

I am still waiting on the back plates for the rear drums at the moment... the guy is really dragging his feet. grrr

Suspension wise there was a mix up, and I sent it back and am getting the new ones hopefully very soon so that I can get it all on pretty swiftly *happy*

Minisport:-

Actually a lot of their cnc machining is done by Hope the mountain bike boys. Just down the road. They do their calipers to i think. So these should be of good quality.

Eek. You pulled this out of the ether!!

And yes, they are the MiniSport ones.

Unfortunately, none of this is going on that car. I pulled the plug on it :/

I am hopefully buying a Cooper instead. . . But this will all be going in that, so no biggy :)
