This is the van that seemed to be sat in work forever

It had been there so long that it had something (flower or weed, you decide) started growing out the bed lol

and got a bit dirty

So after a couple of calls, and £25 to the DVLA it was ours! (we're gunna use it on site to cart all our fire preps around)

So first job was getting in without breaking to much, luckily the key from our pool table fitted the door locks!

Next i hoped to prove the engine wasn't screwed as the company left the site 5 years ago, the van was 'scrapped' 3 years ago.

Gave the battary a charge over night, and with a couple of wires she started straight away! then the real test was if it moved (after all no-one would just leave a working van behind would they?)

Apparently so, first gear and reverse seem to work, as do the brakes, but due to the steering lock being on, i'm unable to test much else.

Also it needs some diesel, but the filler cap is locked, thats one of next weeks jobs!

updates to come next week!

Haha that would be quite a fun little project!

You should ask your employers if you can do it during working hours as its for work afterall :)

if you take the ign switch off and take it to a key cutter they can make you a new key and it may fit the fuel cap?
