Isle of Man

i have a huge sheet of uv resistant perspex (off an old sunbed) that im gonna cut some windows out of for my boat, however over the years there are quite a few scuffs and surface scratched that need buffing out

a friend recommended brasso, but thouhgt id run it past you guys first?

any thoughts?

Don't know much about perspex but if it was used as a UV shield it might have a coating that might complicate things?

If you have any G10, try that first, G3 is quite aggressive.

i thought it was the other way? G3 is finer that G10 isnt it?

I think I have them the right way round, my bottle of G10 is marked as "extra fine".

I've certainly used G3 as coarse and G10 as fine myself...

With something like perspex I think you need to try the very finest (whatever it is) first and only get more agressive if the scratches don't come out.

i'll take a look at the tubs of G3, G6 and G7 on monday an report back. its got me intrieged!

but yeah just use paint work stuff a cuitting compound of some sort and do what rod said, start fine and work up if you need to.
