Mmm interesting, i've seen a few of these.

Not to sure about the restriction. Looking at the diameter of the bomb it looks to be approx half the dia of the tube it sits in. Taking the 3" example and working out surface areas

tube has 7.07 sq"

tube has 7.07 sq" (3" tube)
bomb has 1.767 sq" (1.5" bomb)

Gives you a surface area to flow of 5.3 sq" as opposed to the 2.401 sq" of you 1.75" hif carb.

I cant remember the boiling point of CO2 buts its pretty cold (think its -40 degs cel) so you do get a large temp gradient that would pfset the fact that the surface area isn't so great to a certain extent.

Got to admit for all out power i can think of a much better approach.

P.S.

I like to try and avoid buying anything from tweeks as they are sooooooooooooooooo expensive.

Why not go another route and cool the intercooler with either some nitrous or even co2. Very simple, effective and alot cheaper than that setup. Also nothing in the way of your air charge! The most expensive part of this setup is a proper bottle to hold your compressed whatever. Other than that you would need some brake line and a high pressure solenoid and of course a switching device.
