Hi all, I have some minispares 1.5 roller tip rockers that I want to use on my 998. I have a 295 head I have installed them and I cant adjust two of the clearances, even with the adjuster all of the way out.
I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

no the shims are for under the rocker posts you may need to dubble up you cant put washers under the post as the oil is suplyed to the rocker acembly trough the rocker post.

You could get some proper valves. They are easily available, only more expensive. On 13th Jul, 2012 Ben H said:

Can you confirm that you are checking two valves at at time, turning the engine through 180 degrees and then checking another two and so on.

Thanks Steve I got some shims from minisport as Minispares had run out of stock. I had to file the hole to be in the correct place but its done the trick great

ive just bought some of these and have been told theyd need to be respaced for a small bore, i only thought it was the distance between rockers that need moving because of the different valve spacing of the big bore engine, so.

I had to move them around to get better spacing on the valves, I ended up with all of the short sides next to the posts. I presume it will depend a bit on the head. Minispares do a spacer kit with shims for the rocker shaft. I had a go last night with some washers to see the diff but it put the push rod on an angle, so I just left it with re-organising the rockers on the shaft.
