I recently replaced the bullet type plunger for the oil pressure releif valve with the ball type.

I put the spring that was used with the bullet type back in with the ball, just browsing on spares and the spring that comes in the kit with the ball looks shorter with more coils than the spring that comes with the bullet type.

Will I be alright with this spring and the ball?

No not a good idea i'm afraid, the oil pressure will go through the roof.

yeah, the springs are different and shouldn't be mixed.

I think the haynes has guidance on the length of the spring.

Yep I remember seeing 105PSI on my gauge when I did that on mine! *hehe!*

I just put the shuttle valve back in as it worked fine before! *oh well*
