just been offered a rover mini ecu fully unlocked.and mappable.would i be able to turbo it injection from mpi to mpi turbo just by lowering compression.if not im going the carb route,but this is quite a special item so would like to do somethin a little different

if the ecu is fully mappable then in theory you could to all sorts including turbo's, lowering the compression would enable you to run more boost yes

yeah its mappable because it was john coopers personal one so its a bit of a one off,yeah i think the injectors would need to be upped,but would also like to know that would it be possible to change timing and that,buti guess its a bit try it.its remappable.have you seen the injection system on john coopers car a one off special 1430 engine with a cooper grages bespoek injection system il get some pictures for people to see and thats fully mappable.

pictures would be great, the only fuel injection engine i have worked on have been non mini, so i can only advise in general terms im afraid :) but its basically measure the air and correct amount of fuel, get it to ignite at the right time and bobs your uncle the rest is up to the mapper, Yes i moved to the darkside |

Which is it SPi or MPi?

its an mpi one.a test one from the john cooper garages,would like to see if it works.is there a way i could maybe give it test if put turbo etc on,what boost on a standard mpi engine.if it works i know hes got the person who created the ecu to maybe unlock it for people.do people think the mpi setup would work well??ie inlet etc.
