Can anyone explain what the difference is between these 2 bearings?

Two different material specifications if his listings are to be believed, but I'm not familiar with AE specifications.

Google might help, you can get a lot of info on Vandervell specs off the internet, maybe you can for AE too.

The "competition" 572 bearings are always reckoned to be better in high performance engines.

Minispares used to charge nearly twice the price for a set of 572s over the standard AE bearings.

I use 572s in my engines.

I think that they are the "lead-indium" material whereas the others are "tin-aluminium" but I'm not absolutely sure on this.

Don't buy the ebay ones, Minispares are a lot cheaper.
