Could well be Carl, apparently it was winning its class by a long way but got told to slow down by the high ups so the Jaguars could win. Turbocox on here will be able to tell more about it, he is the one that told me

I cant imageine the k head will flow more then the kad head. as the kad head was designed for one thing in mind, performance however then the k head was designed it only makes sence for them to being logical in design and keep costs down. Paul I seriously doubt it! |

Perhaps I can shed a little light on this. Sigma Engineering are based in Gillingham, Dorset. Brighteyes are Minis raced by Derek Mullis of Yeovil, Somerset. Brighteyes 3 is just the latest version. I haven't seen the car in the "flesh" yet but I have been told by sources close to Derek that the above figures have been achieved. |

Before I start, I'm new hear and just dropped this into a coversation with Paul yesterday (and I know nothing about K twin cam heads Except I want one:)) This little yarn was told to me yesterday, at work. The teller of this story is known to Ben h. His name is John weedon, a hillclimber,(he said he knows you Ben h?) The story goes like this, (and doesn't contain any references to slowing down for JAG's?????? This John said a hillclimber he races with saw a twincam 'k' headed 1400cc A series mini on the rollers at Sigma-engineering in "DORSET" Owned and run by PETER LANDER (former business partner to NEVILLE TRICKETT) This car is campaigned in hillclimb and the car is refered to as Brigtheyes 3
It made 205 at the fly and has some sort of trick inlet variable trumpets?? I'm not sprouting bullshit just repeating a tale There ya go, I got my story muddled up as I had just been woken up by Stu (turbocox) on the phone. Cheers Stu for putting that straight. What was the bit about the Jags then? or was that part of my dream? Paul I seriously doubt it! |

With all due respect to those guys, they have created a very powerful motor.

Its great for getting the car setup, as Peter really knows his stuff. However it is well known that the figures it gives can be somewhat on the optimistic side and are for pub use only.
