hi guys hope you can help my car starts up fine runs for say 1 min then just cuts out but then you can start it straight back up againwhen its cutting out you can give it some throttle but it doesnt do asnything. i have taken the engine from my mk1 metro and put it into my g reg 1 is there anything diffrent it can iether be fuel or its loosing spark i guess please help thanxs lads |

check that you have oil in the carb dashpot. Speedster turbo under construction |

is your fuel pump wired up properly? not sure what system they use on them if its like the era circuit perhaps your fuel pump isnt running with the ignition on (pos 2)just running when the ignition is turned to crank (pos3) this fills the carb and will run for a while to check your circuit just give the pump a live and earth from the battery and see if it runs for longer butDO NOT drive the car with the pump wired up like this.
no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.
