I feel daft asking this, ive done the full engine transplant and everything myself, but ive just run it for a thousand miles on cheap oil, i now want to put decent stuff in.

Ive bought a new oil filter, drained the oil, but i cant work out at all how you change them at all! Sorry for the daft question!

1. Unscrew old filter anticlockwise
2. Re-fill new filter with oil
3. Replace filter by screwing on clockwise!
:p

Oil filter wrenches are cheap, but a messy way is to hit an old screwdriver through the filter and use that to unscrew it!

New filter only needs to go hand tight.

I can't believe you can change an engine but not a filter ROTFLMFAO *happy*

make sure you smear fresh oil on the rubber seal on the new oil filter, ensures a trouble free seal.
