wont run correctly without choke.

over the past week my car has been running really bad, a lack of power, wouldn't really rev past 2500-3000rpm, and was much worse under load..so i've changed the plugs, leads, dizzy cap rotor arm and coil and it was still doing it, but noticed today that it runs fine with a little bit of choke..would this mean that the carb is in need of adjustment or will it need a rebuild?

i had this probelm when i didnt have an airfilter on my N.a mini, also found out there was a slight air leak. may need a clean up of the carb and abi of a tune up. have you changed anything with boost or parts?

nothing was changed before it started running badly, went to work and it was fine, left work and it was running like this.

Check your regulator and fuel pressure.

also in this codl weather she will lean out any way so may just need a richen up a bit try a 1/4 turn at a time.

i assume its turbo? does it have a piston dump valve? sometimes they stick open

hi pressure and low barometer readings plays funny things

yep i agree with benross, i recon its very near the misture limit opn a warm day so when cold temps are in the sir then tips it over the edge and runs lean, try a 1/4 turn richer should soon be better as its getting colder now.

or take to uncle ray and he will sort it.

i was thinking that a visit to uncle ray may be on the cards, but i might aswell get the megajolt fitted first then pay him a visit...

yep ok no probs but just give a 1/4 turn richer to be on the safe side.

Check the balance pipe at the front of the carb a pin prick in that will have you runnung around in circles for ages. I put a new one on mine a few years back and it had the smallest hole in it but it was enough to royaly mess things up.
