OK you guys will no I was having an oil pressure problem in the midget, I had taken the oil for the turbo from the oil pressure gauge and I was getting 5psi at tick over even after adjusting the pressure spring.

Well Ive now taken the oil from the big screw that connects the bango pipe to the oil filter, and hey presto oil pressure is back.

Now because I was concerend about unfiltered oil ive put an inline fuel filter (you know the clear ones that you fit in the line) it looks good as I know there is oil in the turbo as I can see visually but anyidea how long I can expect that filter to last, was thinking about changing both that one oil and fuel one say every year, what you guys think.

Already asked my mechanic friends and they have no idea

I think you may find the vescocity of the oil may be too thick, also I don' t think the fuel filter will like the tempreture or the pressure.

I think it's a bad idea to be honest, you can buy inline oil filters for turbos

you can, where from, how much?

Pressure is not a problem for these type of filters, I know some fuel pumps that are well over 80psi, my engine tops at 60psi, but as for the vescocoty, ill have to do a test.

agree with jimster on using a fuel filter for oil. if you can get a proper one for the job use that if not i wouldnt bother. make sure that the plastic wont melt with the hot oil in *smiley*

no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

Ive already ran it in the engine and nope its not melted, im going to have to try it off the turbo, plugs out etc so I can crank the engine and check the flow.
