Do you need to fit a gasket between the turbo and elbow or is it just a straight mating face??............ |

I don't use a gasket; just make sure the faces are nice and flat... On 17th Nov, 2014 Tom Fenton said:

its a steel one, no the engine is still on standard mounts and stabiliser bar, i might change it to a longer one if it touches but i think i may just get away with it |

The gasket is a steel item. It is made so that it is compressed when the bolted up between the turbine housing and elbow. However i have also used no gasket here as well. The turbine elbows have been surface ground to ensure that they are flat. I would use a gasket if you have them available. All turbo rebuilders will sell you them. I will have a stock of them on the shelf soon. |
