Hi Guys,

Need help urgently.

Does anyone have a quaife ATB LSD not installed... I need to know the size, width, etc of the spacer that keeps the bearing spaced away.
1/8" or something I think.

Swiftune sent 10 quaife ATB LSD's to a supplier here in aus and none have the spacer :(

Please help!

Also - does anyone have instructions on setting the preload, etc on the diff? Should it be right out of the box or anything?

Thanks
Peter

spacer??

Do it as per the haynes manual (as std), but shim it on the opposite side

Ok, supplier just spoke to Swiftune - no more spacers! Yay - first production run had to have spacer as machining was not exact (or something)

Ok, forget the spacer - literrally just got the call from supplier.

No, how about diff preload? Do you have to set it or anything?

Thanks,
Peter

Thanks guys,

Nic, did you get the first batch of the quaifes?
I was told by my supplier - who just spoke to Swiftune after I panicked about the spacer that the first batch had too much machined off the diff and it needed a spacer to ensure the bearing sat right.
The spacer goes on the opposite side of the crownwheel ... so if yours is shimmed up there then that could be the cause.

Either way, I was excited to get cracking and the quaife is so bling that I thought surely it needs some tweaking :) I am glad it doesnt, ill just whack it in and off we go!
The new hybrid turbo will be ready next week, orange clutch and race/rally ex heavy duty clutch plate is ready too..

Yipee!

When you put in your quaife diffs - did you just leave the diff as it was shipped ?

Is there ANYTHING on the diff itself that needs adjusting, etc. The diff's preload or anything? or is it a matter of throw on crown wheel, and get the thing in - shims etc as normal?

Ill get pics and measurements of my diff on Wed now - thats when intsall is as turbo not finished...

Yep, just bolt up the crown wheel, put the shims on the opposite side when you bolt it all together and off you go
