Guys,

I need to figure out how i'm going to plumb these bits onto my car.

I've made up a quick diagram (more for my benefit!) to show you what i'm thinking of.

I want to run the boost gauge, dumpvalve and actuator trigger all off the inelt manifold, with both sides of the "T" on the compressor side blocked off.

Can anyone see a problem with this? The bleed valve will still do its job inline between the inlet take-off and actuator won't it?

I'll be using the vacuum advance off the carb for the MAP sensor on the negajolt.

Planning to use the main take off (servo one) on the inlet for the signal to the actuator, but im wondering if I can fit the other two take-off's on the one flat bit left on the inlet by drilling and tapping next to each other?

What can I use for these two take off's, 6mm nipple type things im guessing but im not sure where to look!

Be interested to hear any views + advice about this please!

Cheers

Pretty sure it's usually run off the compressor side of the turbo?

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

mine's off the comressor housing.

I have MAP sensor, DV and Boost gauge off the inlet manifold.

i got some nice fittings from demon tweaks which weren't expensive

they used a dowty seal and i put one in each end of the manifold

I used push fit pneumatic fittings available like Nic said from any hydraulics place. They're good for 100+psi.

1 problem i can see with running actuator and bleed valve from the inlet manifold is that you are not only going to be bleeding boost to atmosphere you are going to be contantly venting fuel to atmosphere too.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

That is a rather good point

Much easier to use the compressor housing, less fittings needed on the inlet manifold too.

ah, yes so it is,

what i was getting at is the wastegate is normally fed from before the throttle, otherwise wastgate will not work with the throttle shut,

Waste gate acctuator control comes from the compressor housing T into this to fit your bleed valve or just stick on the end of the pipe that goes to the solenoid valve.

As you dont seem to be running the ECU run the take off for that to your boost gauge. And if you are Just T into that line.

AHA!

Thanks for that mate, so i'll use one side of the compressor T piece to the actuator (bleed valve in line), the other side to the boost gauge, and the ex-servo take off for the dump valve!

:)

sounds about right to me and my meager turbo knowledge.

The Minispeed dump vave kit comes with a sandwich plate with the vaccume pipe for the dump valve fitted so you can retain your servo take off for future use if needs be

You want to be measuring boost at the inlet not at the compressor.

Actuator/bleed valve from the compressor.

MAP, boost gauge, dump valve from inlet.

In the 13's at last!.. Just

duly noted for myself. how do you block off the other side of the t piece on the compressor housing?

Ah you can also buy a union with only one outlet, job done then :)
