As for fitting a bleed valve i wouldn't advise fitting one & just turning up the boost until you know a little more about your engine. Compression, ignition timing & fuelling all need to be considered.

spoke to my cousin who owned the engine before it was fittied to the car

they recommeded when he had it rebuild that not to run it more than 12psi

you need to try and find out the engine specs such as what the compression ratio is, what cam its running, what timing is, what pistons and if its been setup on a rolling road before.

once you can tell everyone that lot hopefully we can all say how you can make it pull the bit harder!

once you know this and can tell everyone

What your cousin says is all fine and dandy but is that 12psi with an intercooler or without etc.
