Now that my car is getting the full 3.5psi of fuel with the new regulator, its running really rich, and also starting on cold mornings with no choke!

I have borrowed a colourtune and timing light.

I wont ask how to use them, i ask too much so im going to look for instructions on the net, but i was wondering, will the timing light work ok with a turbo? The reason i ask is because people telling me about the advance curve on the distributor and reading about it on here.

thankyou, if i find out ill have a go tonight.

Edit: Just looked through haynes, and the place where it says to alter the mixture, there is a pipe coming out of, i think its the anti run-on valve one! I understood my 998 one wiht the copper screw but this one has stumped me.

then you cant afford to drive the car...

a blown engine is more than a RR tune...

If i were you feebs, limit yourself to 4psi, and just use your spark plugs as the guide for mixture... If you remove them and clean them with a wire brush, then re-fit and just keep leaning it off till they are no longer black, then that's about all you can do...

Colourtune is hard work.

yeah im still at minimum on the MBC dave, not risking the engine. I dont thrash it everywhere either. I spoke to the guy that sold me my metro, he said it had already been tuned up, but this would have been at the 2.5maximum psi that the regulator was giving out i suppose!

I wish i didnt have them damn intercooler pipse in the way of the mixture screw.

even a change in the intercooler routing can change your boost and hence fueling requirments.

get it set up now, or pay for it later!

15 secs of full throttle on a lean engine is enough to melt pistons!
