Hi all,

Just found this website after quizzing a chap at Avonbar about turbocharging the a-series powerplant.

Although this is probably considered a swear word on this website (no smerking please chaps) I own a 1988 MG Metro.
I'm currently running an MED built 1380cc with all the dressings (1.5 rockers, Stg 3 Head, Omega Pistons, Weber, Everything lightened balanced etc etc), but fancy a bit of Garrett Turbo action in the future.

Ideally I plan to build a seperate turbo'd engine on the side and then do a straight swap over when the turbo'd plant is ready.

I have seen a BLUE MINI TURBO whizzing round Blackpool, and would really like to get in touch with him. His Mini is blue with a white roof, chrome rear rollcage and has a set of Minilites.

Could any one point me towards getting in touch? I'd really like to get talking with him with regards to turbocharging...

So your building a turbo'd mini? Very worthwhile project!

Could you tell me about your build plans...Base Car, Engine Mods???

I'd really like to know more about this turbo'ing business!

yes, it has a turbo engine. You can come and see it if you are local. It is not as difficult as you might think to do the conversion.
It is the rest of the stuff that takes the time (which body kit to fit, metalwork restoration, which interior to fit, etc, etc, etc.

I will drop you a PM with my mobile number, give me a bell if you want to pop over for a nosey and a chat.

Much appreciated! It would be great to come an oogle at a bit of turbo'd a-series metal!

I'll drop you a txt/call during the week and try and sort out a nite when I can pop round.

I'll be in touch. Many Thanks, Tim

nice metro ( if there is such a thing ) has someone nicked the turbo off it >lol.

Everyone knows that instructions only have to be read if the thing doesn't work....

Yeah...it is missing a certain turbo!

Not for long though, I'll be running on boost this side of christmas for sure. I'm just reluctant to say goodbye to the Weber, because I sounds sooo throaty when you open up the throttle.

I've seen a 1380 Mini Turbo running a Dellorto 45M Carb, is this a decent set up, or is the jetting impossible????
