When the unexpected happens the world speeds up in an awful hurry. Once had a ball joint fail on the hub snapped the threaded section clean off.

Ive welded a nut to connect my pedal to the cylinder.

After seeing this ill be revising this for deffinate!

holy smoke and that car didn't have any rot looking at the pics.

I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.
VEMS + 12 PSI + Liquid Intercooler = Small Bore FUN!

bargin of a time to say i have a roll cage for sale lol... i do achually. this is one reason why im not going to cut corners makeing my project. he was very lucky. a guy i know got hit by a landrover side on in a 306 he broke his sholder 4 ribs and was in hospital for a while. that was 45 mph! scary stuff glad he was ok though

fuking hell i had to look twice at the before pics it looks very very similar to mine.

glad hes ok and i think he was very lucky.

do you really think the roll cage helped much in this instance?

no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

i belive so carl, it seems to stop the rear corner protudeing any more into the cabin.

a guy at work say that cars DONT need roll cages. He think its just for rolling on the roof. I realy want to kick his head in whit a crowbar, but i want to drive my car when its road legal, so i cant prove him wrong whit a crowbar

Cars that are being designed now or in the past few years probably 'don't' need roll cages for everyday driving mishaps.

Minis do however....

I'm glad that I've just fully seem welded the new sills on my youngest lads car.

Those spot welds have just popped and the main structural member of the floor has gone.

Speculation was that there was something amiss in the clevis area i think, I don't think rob cut and shut his pedals, i can't remember from his build diary.?

i remember asking around about it but cant remember exactly what failed.

Rob isnt the kind of guy to compromise on his brakes though
