Yes,

the outer part without the bearings fits (presses) into the hub, then the bearing bit (with grease) then the seal.

are these fronts or backs?

That seal goes to the back (engine side)

will probably still need to tap the bearing ring in gently with a hammer and punch, working around the circumerence.

yeah i know i probably will have to just wanted to get the first bit started :)

well 15mins at 100*c and 15 mins in the freezer i got the ring flush

15mins @ 100*c and then 10mins and 200*c and 25 mins in the freezer the ring fall strait in no problems what so ever :) so will be doing that next time. now where is my hammer and punch?

Somewhere around Swindon

i would not bother with the heat and freezer

a punch knocks them out and a large socket knocks them in

As above, punch or a drift to knock out. A socket to fit new ones. Nice light taps.

That would work, problably better as its nice and soft. It won't do any damage to the bearing.

i turned a bit of alu. to 'abit smaller than race dims.' and used it as a drift.
aparently if you dont press them in ultra qsuare with an actual press you will suffer premature wear-out.. any experience anyone??

I recently replaced the front wheel bearings on my project car and found using the haynes manual and it's diagrams along with this youtube clip really helpful for a first time wheel bearing job.

had had someone get me to look at there car due a funny noise, turned out the wheel bearing had gone bigtime, when i told him he said he had done it a week ago, i then proceeded to undo the hub nut by hand, he had used mole grips to do it up!
but ive never had probs drifting them in with a large socket theyve always lasted
