Hi,

Need some quick help as i need to order them tonight.

The harnesses i am looking at have holes in each of the four fixing points, but how would you fix these to the hoops you are meant to install in each of the fixing holes.

Surely you would just bolt through the harness holes to the mounting points with the old seat belt bolts?

They are securon one from minispares, must be ok as they are from a good supplier??

Thanks

Jon

just bolt them as you say mate. the rings are for the snap on/quick release harnesses

On theminiforum it was mentioned that they bolt on ones are not as safe as the clip on ones.

Which ones would you recommend?

Thanks

Jon

i had bolt in ones. luckily i didnt have a bad enough crash to find out!

i think google would be a good place to get an image of a rally or race car set-up and see which they opt for.

clip-on in my opinion.
quite a few years rally exp and i feel that structure of clip-on type is better.
i use schroth 6point on all my cars.
for a bit of comfort i dont use the bollix bit on the road, im too auld for that type of snugness.
plus they are well priced, even if local guys have to import them

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

bolt in ones are supposed to be MOT able, but the clip in ones not for some reason.

not had an issue issue with either though, clip in makes i easy to chuck them from car to car.

All FIA harnesses are clip in so they must do the business

i had bolt in on mine, never had any problems, but remember to put the rear harness at a 45* angle to the rear seat belt buckel hole, its much safer if you have a crash. as for mot it seems FIA aproved ones are not always MOT standard =/
