just bolt them as you say mate. the rings are for the snap on/quick release harnesses |

On theminiforum it was mentioned that they bolt on ones are not as safe as the clip on ones.

i had bolt in ones. luckily i didnt have a bad enough crash to find out!

clip-on in my opinion.

bolt in ones are supposed to be MOT able, but the clip in ones not for some reason.

i had bolt in on mine, never had any problems, but remember to put the rear harness at a 45* angle to the rear seat belt buckel hole, its much safer if you have a crash. as for mot it seems FIA aproved ones are not always MOT standard =/ Drives
