When i was working with aircraft we tried some Avgas at a 104 Octane rating in my 1275 NA Lump, it ran like shit until the timing was adjusted to suit, then it went like a rocket.

It does put up performance alot if the engine is set for it, but it stain the fuel system blue (which doesn't matter) and it also obviously burns a lot hotter so watch out for those exhaust valves.

Its a lot cleaner than the usual petrol pump petrol aswell as its filtered through to something stupid like a million microns.

Its also illegal to use on the road (because u dont get charged tax on it) and it smells different so you may get caught be the plod.

yes it's avgas, 100/130 lean/reach octanes,
I search for some hours on the net aboiut avgaz, it seam that it have very good antidetonant quality but on the boack side it have lower fuell front flame propagation and lower expantion prperties, so I'm back on the search line for good quality fuell , for my special high boost days, I'm now trying to find some wrc fuel......... another story!!!!
